EU has accepted Ukraine application for membership

Honestly, Ukraine has no place in the EU.

It is a (still) pretty corrupt, pretty racist, pretty divided, (neo-)nazi sympathizing, dumpster fire.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that I'm not supporting Ukraine in her struggle against Russia, but man, I do not wish to have her as a member state in her current state.

Carnegie Europe had a devastating report on Ukrainian corruption just a few years back, and loads of think thanks, NGO's and researchers point to the massive amount of racism and extremism both amongst mainstream politicians and in the armed forces.

Ukraine has some tidying up to do, once Russia has withdrawn.

Europe was stupid to approve this. Russia will stick it to Europe with natural gas prices or worse shutdown pipeline going to Europe.

This is what the regime change in 2014 had created and pushed for. For Ukraine to become another pawn for the EU to use agaisnt Russia nothing new.

This means the conflict in Ukraine is not winding down anytime soon.

That's not a bad thing. Let the EU handle it. In my opinion it's time for the US to ease out of NATO.

If they wanted WW3 and to cover up things for somebody this is how they will be starting it.

But the EU defensive pact would allow EU countries to send troops to Ukraine if Ukraine is admitted.

Of course if you want things to escalate, support far right groups in Ukraine. And push Russia further this is how you do it.

dont be surprised if Nuclear missiles start flying.

How were the citizens of the European Union able to come together and vote so quickly? Wow.

It must because they have interests in Ukraine.

Approved 637-40.

Can't remember the last time that the EU agreed about anything by 637-40.

Thanks vlad.

Yup, we all have secret Ukrainian luxury villas.

Right next to our secret Ukrainian bio weapon labs.

You caught us all.

We only care about profits.

I know, you told us many times.

Did you notice the planet just told russia to keep its worthless rubles?

Bet that stung a little.

No?

Hold my beer for a sec...

If Russia attempts either of those options, it will be cutting off its currently primary source of foreign capital.

The total collapse of the Russian economy would follow within days to weeks, and the government itself would then collapse,

Rivaling, or even, or even, surpassing the social and cultural devastation Russia suffered when the former Soviet Union fell.

Which, if you recall, lead to so many of the former Soviet states ultimately joining NATO.

Unintended consequences to be sure!

I fully expect at least one or two nuclear missiles to fly - from Ukrainian stockpiles to targets within Ukraine itself to repulse the Russian invasion force.

And what would Putin do in response?

If Russia launches a nuclear strike against the EU or NATO in retaliation, well we know how that ends.

If he attacks Ukraine with nukes, he'll have crossed much the same line, although the EU response might be less drastic. But Putin will have used the "ultimate weapon" against a country which he, himself, claims to be "historically" a part of Russia.

That will not go down well back home in Russia proper. Especially with the current mood of his countrymen.

Or he could decide that the plan has failed, cut his losses and withdraw from Ukraine.

That would be the sensible thing to do.

But, since Putin appears to have lost his sense, it is the least likely thing he'd do.

Given the surprising and rapidly escalating situation between Russia and Ukraine (and by extension the West), it is prudent to bring the following civil defense manual back to widespread public knowledge and circulation:

Nuclear War Survival Skills by Cresson Kearny, which is in the public domain and can be found online for free. This book has its own wikipedia article!

en.wikipedia.org...

It can be found for example at the following websites, among many other places. These are searchable PDFs! There is no intended promotion or affiliation with the content of these sites:

ia800501.us.archive.org...
www.survival.ark.net.au... www.survivorlibrary.com...

The "About the Author" and "Forward" are written by the late respected physicists Eugene Wigner and Edward Teller, the so-called Father of the Hydrogen Bomb. Please consider the significance that they would lend their names to this manual.

You should have this saved as a PDF and ideally printed. Please share it with everyone you know who would be receptive to even just saving a copy on a computer or mobile device.

Start by reading the Introduction section and Chapters 1 and 2, (about 16 pages total) which may help you to understand why you would want to bother reading a book like this. Chapter 1 is the bare minimum. The section "Evacuation Checklist" helps to quickly understand what items you would want to bring in case of an evacuation.

The sender of this message does not believe nuclear war is eminent but does believe that the risk of accidental nuclear war is in the process of increasing. Even a global nuclear war is very likely a survivable event for humanity but the conditions of that survival depend on the education and awareness of citizens about what to expect should this catastrophe come to pass.
