They are big ones, not infants. And it's been hot here for a couple months.

They barely even move sometimes. I try to shoo them off and they can't be bothered. I killed half a dozen of this batch of duds so far.

I wonder if there's something in my house that's affecting them.

If they're not flying it's probably because they've been around a source of easy food for a while. They get fat and lazy.
