Oddly in the first episode they try to tie Son of Sam to the Uncle Sam WW1 poster....

Can anyone explain that to me?

I never heard of any connection. I thought he called himself son of sam because that was the name of the dogs owner that was telling him what to do.

I thought Berkowitz made up the story about the dog because he was trying to get a 'Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity' verdict.

The link to the ww1 poster is made by the cops at the time , they thought about a war veteran , hence the son of sam.

Or some satanic group.

I think it's a slight dig at "the government" being behind the three big murder cases of the times, Son of Sam, The Manson Family, and The Zodiac.

I have a hard time enjoying anything on netflix having to do with sensational true crime cases.
Reading on the individual cases will always show that netfix is no in the business of telling the truth.

The SOS case is a conspiracy theorist wetdream. It has everything from mkultra to satanic covens.

Both Maury Terry's "Ultimate Evil" and Dave Mcgowan's "programed to Kill" are excellent, informative and well researched.
