Or maybe they don't want to tell the public about the planned Trucker's Strike:

Truckers plan strike urging Biden to avoid fracking ban, tout Trump protecting 'blue-collar' workers

The group's protests will take place during Veteran's Day on Nov. 11 and from Nov. 26-29.

"Our message is simple and hopefully effective. We fully intend to exercise our rights, and will not have politicians making crippling decisions, that will negatively affect our future and the future of our children." StopTheTires2020 organizer Jeremy Rewoldt wrote in a Facebook post. "We will not participate in the leftist, Biden/Harris Green New Deal. We do not support the banning of fracking. The United States of America operates as a capitalistic economy and OIL is the fuel she survives on."

He added that the protest's intention is not to harm anyone and that they do not wish for any companies or private drivers who are supplying any kind of medical supplies or services to participate in the movement.

I just read about it this morning.

I have been waiting for truckers to wield their hefty, but little respected and often overlooked, influence on society.

I can't say that it won't sting a bit, on a personal level, but if everyone else has a chance to have their voices heard at the table, truckers do too.

All it would take is some large % of transportation workers and drivers to temporarily "opt out" from making drop offs in key areas, oh say, NYC, Chicago, Seattle, and it would be a hard-learned lesson for many of the effete urbanites that so often p1ss in the creek that brings them their drinking water. Non stop whining and leering about "rednecks", but turns out it might be hard to enjoy your Starbucks without resupplies from out of town each week. Or did they think that maybe the coffee beans and soy milk are delivered "from farm to table" from Nassau county right into the heart of Brooklyn??

It's past time that some of our Elois comprehend the significance of the Morlocks that bring them their food and toilet paper each week.

Agreed. Too many people with too much power and attention think they can speak for the "little" people who are really the backbone of society.

If the people aren't being listened to, they find ways to make themselves heard. When push comes to shove, truckers are in a unique position to make sure they cannot be ignored. More power to them.
