To date ULA has a track record of 100% mission success with 139 successful launches.

Falcon Block 4: 64 out of 64 launches
Falcon Block 5: 28 out of 28 launches

At this point in time SpaceX is launching 3 Falcons for every Atlas rocket - at half the cost.
The Atlas rocket is used exclusively by the US Government (servicing predominatly miliary contracts) while Falcon is dominating the (lucrative) civilian market.

ULA has some 10 upcoming missions through 2021 for Atlas, SpaceX is looking at at least 60.

IE Atlas needs to die
