A major oil storage terminal on Grand Bahama Island was damaged by Hurricane Dorian and has leaked oil into the surrounding environment, raising concern that the oil could damage local reefs and wildlife.

The South Riding Point facility sits on the shore of the island's eastern side and is home to 10 giant storage tanks capable of holding up to 6.75 million barrels of crude, according to Equinor, the company that runs the facility.

It seems like some kind of environmental damage always results from a strong hurricane passing through. It's almost 2020, I know we can build hurricane proof storage and systems.

There is great concern about our planet lately. Just think if some of the time and influence directed at global warming was diverted to upgrading our systems and storage of harmful products. We might actual be able to make the environment better.

If not fake news, this is an interesting image from the hurricane. Looks like it is from a movie like Waterworld. Hope they stay out of the oil slick.

Bahamians rescue hurricane victims with jet skis and a bulldozer as the U.S., Britain and aid groups try to get food and medicine to survivors and take the most desperate people to safety.

Millions of gallons of oil seep out of the ocean's floor yearly.

The ocean literally eats it.

Well, the bacteria in the ocean does, but same thing.

Global Warming / Climate Chage (or whatever the libs call it today) doesn't have one iota to do with saving the planet, or the environment. No, it just has everything to do with...money leaving your wallet and going into some politicians wallet. Taxes, that's it, nothing more.
