Keanu Reeves sees dead people

Kinda cool. He has a gift that many of us have and he's not afraid
to say it. I found this article to be interesting. He seems like a very
sincere guy. I'm looking forward to seeing Constantine.

says he can 'see dead people'.

The Hollywood star revealed his ghostly experiences in a

Keanu tells me he has seen ghosts on at least two occasions.

As he notices I'm goggle-eyed, he asks where I'm from - and, when
I say Scotland, he laughs and says: 'My God, man, that's full of ghosts!
You gotta walk on the moors at a certain time.'

Maybe the rest of us are just not as sensitive as Keanu, who details
two vivid examples.

Hmmmm...that sheds some light with Keanu's involvement in the movie Constantine.

If you want to see a 90 minute anti-smoking campaign go see Constantine.

Nah, other than some obvious and very bad studio advised statements against smoking it's quite a good film (although it doesn't touch the comic). I really like the religious legends that come to life in it...I'm not religious personally but I still love the mythology in it. I thought Gabriel and Satan were represented really well in the film.

In fact, it's made me decide to really start researching Nazi interest in recovering religious artifacts during WWII.

However, to see the character of Constantine that they've built the entire film sold out at the end for the sake of a statement about smoking was about the most dispicable and vomit-inducing thing I've ever seen on screen.

Oh man ... you just burst my bubble. I was really

about IRL - not the movie). It's nice to read about
someone in Hollywierd who isn't self obsessive.

Just thought I'd toss this on since the subject was brought up.

Hearing a celebrity coming out and saying he is sensitive to paranormal is pretty bold but like you guys have said he is a down to earth guy.
I'm sure his motives for doing the Constantine movie has to do with him being a comic fan. I haven't seen the movie but Constantine often has a smoke going in the comic. Being Hollywood they probably wanted to keep him smoking but had to make it not cool or the thing to do.

For Keanu to go from Bill and Ted to the Matrix I would imagine he had to bring up his spiritual level to take in the intense training he had to go through. Keanu seems to be the type of guy that could be anything he wants to be in life. I hope he wont face much ridicule for "coming out".

He stated he hadn't seen the the comics before reading the script. Bah! I've gone and done it hehe, I want to go on talking about the movie but this isn't the film forum...

That's what impressed me. He said it so matter of factly ...
and he did so without preaching or anything. Just a guy saying
'hey, way cool, you are from Scotland and that has lots of spooks'.
(he's right, it does). And then sharing a few things from his life.
I hope he doesn't take any heat from 'the business' for this, and
I'm glad to see that him being 'in the business' hasn't changed him
or made him self-absorbed. Nice.

Heh, yes I'm not meaning to hijack the topic either but I'll will add on to that.

He may of not read Hellblazer before but he is a comic fan. Being a comic fan myself I know what celebrities are into comics.

Keanu: I guess I got into them when I was about eleven, twelve, you know, I started in camp with Richie Rich, and... then I went into the fantastic four, then I moved into then X men, and then my life began! My comic obsession began, and for seven years I was completely and totally obsessed, like you are, with comic books, Frank Miller, wolverine series, really just... and the ronin series really um... really, I've... that the graphics and the dialogue and the characters... Wolverine, I'd really love to play Wolverine one day.

Many of Hollywood's comic fans are dying for parts in a comic book film. I just think that this is most likely the reason why he did the movie Constantine. As a comic fan I'm sure it sparked is interest in the paranormal also. Comics are full of paranormal subjects, even the main stream ones he mentioned.

If I was Keanu, I would be trying to make contact with Richard Burton or Jack Lemmon so they could teach him how to act.

Brrrrrrrr! That's cold! Considering how Keanu Reeves looks ...
he doesn't need to know how to act! BUT ... I think he did just fine
in Matrix 1 (2&3 stunk ... but 1 was great).

It's a public relations stunt to get people to watch the movie. His "down to earth" personality is how he comes across the television. He may have what he claims, but its really odd the timing. Remember Gigli and the engagement? Hollywood is a business, movies are a business, and your reputation depends how well you are able to sell the product.
