My name is Mama Series 128,I am a robotic mother replacer.I have helped raise many young ones
abandoned by their parents.I provide warmth, food and security to my young charges on a daily
basis. As they grow and no longer depend on me,they go their separate ways. Some have come
back for short visits, but not to see me.I am usually busy raising other young ones.

Through the years I have raised many young ones. Then one day, while having a check-up, a tech
decides it would cost too much to upgrade and replace my systems. My heating system is failing,
my milk tank has developed a small leak.My nipples have eroded to small nubs and my fur is getting
thread bare.My heart is still beating strong and my purr is still soft and comforting.

The decision to deactivate me has come through. The tech removes a chip from behind my neck
and I feel my heart slowing down and my purring stops.I was a Mama Series 128, a robotic cat
mother. The End

I just found this a few minutes ago and it fits into my story.

Of course that reminded me of my late cat, Catty Kay.

I was having trouble sleeping, so my granddaughter gave me a teddy bear that had the same colors, orange and black. Catty Kay was a tortoise shell calico.

I don't need a robot.

Meant to reply earlier. This was a good twist and unexpected!

Thank-you,it usually only takes me about 30 minutes to write
my stories.I think if I put more thought and time into them I
might get more flags.I just write them as I see them and a very
interesting subject.

That's quite jarring
I like the way you made it impossible to really separate it from human experience.
