SO someone recorded his first standup since his #metoo experience.

Lefty guys, you guys are losing. This is proof. People are beginning to not care about your posturing and pretend control of the "narrative". Today, I am sure that all kinds of MSM types are demanding he apologize and crawl into a hole. Bet he isn't going to. This may not be considered political, so if mods deign it, move it to proper place please.

I've never been much of a Louis CK fan -- flashes of Carlin-like insight sullied by too much pointless crudeness -- but I have to give him credit for shifting his market so he can continue to get work. Won't ever be on Ellen again, but he'll keep getting a paycheck.

I prefer Bill Burr. And Dennis MIller. Not a big fan of crude, just to be crude.

They tried to destroy Aziz Ansari as well.

Over what amounted to a bad date.

#metoo is a scam.

... he did apologize and crawl into a hole.

"C.K. publicly acknowledged the veracity of the allegations the day after the article's release. His statement admitted to behavior that he initially thought "was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first," and went on to express remorse for abusing his power in the industry "which disabled them from sharing their story and brought hardship to them when they tried."

He's admitted that the things he did were wrong. Are you under the assumption that this was just group of random women making unverified claims and a man falsely accused? Or are you of the opinion that exposing yourself to unwilling women who are co-workers or subordinates is a perfectly fine thing to do?

To be honest I wasn't 100% on this story.

Thank you for clearing it up and I stand corrected with my characterization of the events in question.

This was nothing like Aziz Anzari's experience, which was messed up.

I like Louis CK, I think he acted out of libido and ignorance, not out of malice, which is the only thing worth being offended by.

In Louis' defense, his apology seemed heartfelt, so i'm not saying Louis CK should be ostracized for life... he did some #ty things, but certainly not as #ty as some of his contemporaries in the entertainment industry. Most of the girls involved said they've received an apology from him in one form or another since their incidents. I imagine Louis CK will be in the spotlight again soon... just probably not on the disney channel.

Left, right.. meh, it's getting lame, this us vs them divisive #. We're all Americans. I know the tension gets high, people get into it so much that they demonize the other side and their voters. Like really throw as much shade as possible, make themselves and others hate the opposition to the point that they'd be indoctrinated enough to have armed combat with strangers, anything to fuel this crap. People on the right would rather live under liberal U.S. democracy than a communism or a socialism, and people on the left would rather live under conservative U.S. democracy than a nationalist dictatorship.

Like what?

I just can't believe I used to be like that a decado ago. I'd write an essay, a treatise, I was so passionate about politics. I look at it now from an unaligned perspective, center, above, whatever you'd label it. I have left and right wing media websites bookmarked that I check to observe the spin on the same current events into opposite directions. I see how the writing, perspective of the articles, influence from the side they cater to and attempts to influence the reader from the side they cater to mirrors itself on the other side. It's interesting to say the least.

Well #metoo has some legitimate grounds with women being harassed and others turning the other cheek to it. The problem is that a lot of extremists have jumped aboard and hijacked the initial movement. Turning it into an agenda that aims at destroying any career that dare deny it's notions. (Such as Aziz, who is pretty darn PC in his Netflix series).

However, we shouldn't ignore the issues presented by #MeToo. Some serious issues were presented by this movement and shot forward a progression in societies' discussion.

The few extremists are trying to ruin everything. The women being used, and the men who didn't do anything wrong.

I can only say that if you do not see who is trying to control lives and human behavior via government power and cultural embarrassment over the last 20 years then you do not have eyes.
