Washington Phillips and His Marvelous Instruments.

Washington Phillips is a pioneer in early gospel music, and although he only recorded 18 songs, these are still widely discussed and coveted in the music community.
Aside from the mesmerizing beauty of Phillips recordings, the most common subject brought up in regard to his work is his instrument.
It produces the most marvelous sound and yet no one is quite sure what precisely he was playing.
