It may take a while before they figure out what he's guilty of, but rest assured, he'll be guilty of whatever that may turn out to be.

simples :

1 - he is actually corrupt

2 - he is ATTEMPTING to investigate a corrupt figure who has far more power than he does

In regards to #2 is the head of the organization really involved at the footwork level doing the investigation himself? I find that odd in itself, possible but odd ?

His wife is now reporting being harassed
www.nbcnews.com...

She said she had just put her sons to bed when a man called and said: "You listen, but you don’t speak. We’ve come in two work teams, two work teams just for you." The call prompted law enforcement in France, where Interpol is headquartered, to place the family under police protection, she said. Meng Hongwei last had contact with his wife via text on September 25, sending her an image of a knife followed by a message that read, "Wait for my call."

Interpol's existence may be put on question ... soon ... due to fierce EU opposition to the most qualified candidate as chief General Prokopchuk . In particular his work may help in finding out what really happened in Salisbury, which is nowhere near what the EU and the British report ! ... maybe he'll uncover more about Litvinenko and Magnitsky !

Heh...

If this era has taught me anything, its that not having the most qualified candidate in a leadership role, unfortunately, does not stop the entity being led by the inferior party from existing. It just threatens its underpinnings, its core values and ethics. Theres a big difference.
