Sudan1, Courtesy Of India???

Everyone in the UK must have heard of the cancerous Sudan1 that has been used in over 300 food products. This is so serious that the government is warning people and shops to dispose of any foods that may contain it.
What i ask is: Was this really an accident???
Sounds like a perfectly executed act of mass poisoning from somewhere other than India to me!!!
