Orchestra then chamber ensemble as first live music for a 6 year old

i am excited cause she is excited.
we listen to a lot of different styles of music in this house and she is just kind of starting to form her own personal tastes. i can tell.
i want her to be exposed to all of it.

today Oberlin concert is having a free concert. well 2 kind of.
as the title says the orchestra is going to play for 20 minutes then the chamber ensemble is from 2-6
its the baroque performance institute
ever been to a show like this?
what was your first show or the first one you took your kids too?

Kamasi Washington just released a new cd and i think he is on tour so if this goes well that will be the 2nd show

we took her to an african drum circle class the other day and she liked that

We took our 10 year old to Dave Matthews Band concert in May. She looked at me third song in and said "Mom, I love Dave Matthews Band". Priceless.

Our souls know true talent when we hear it.

as far as i could tell the 3 of us were the only non musicians or staff at the concert.

it was fun. we are going to start going every weekend i think.
