Two news articles the same one vote?

Here’s my problem I just read a ATSNN news submission I voted for it because I thought it worthy news, even though it had only one intro sentence, witch is bad right? I voted it up because of the article.

Now the same story is reposted by some one else who has done a better job on the intro, same article. Now would it be right of me to vote the second story up as well?

Well it’s a none issue now the second story has been removed I think.

I had same prob - likely same story - also saw 2nd article was trashed. Agreed with trashing because even tho first article was skimpy, it was a) first, and b) more "accessible." ...More info, discussion can follow in posts - involves members in research, analysis. Works I think...
