I'm so sorry
but I just had to ask
is it ok to cry now?
For I have been so scared
my tears have been held
like prisoners
far from the light
In the darkest pitt
and now I'm ready
that's why I ask you
is it ok to cry now?
Like a damn
that is cracking
my heart is bursting
with the burden of tears
the tears only I have known.
But still, I ask permission
is it ok to cry now
all those tears
can I really allow this
fo flow now
can I really let this go now?
A thousand years or more
locked up inside.
Is it really time now?
Are we ready
for loving now?
Are we brave enough
for living
living in peace now
Or maybe we prefer
to be hollow now
shallow and safe
in a world
of savings.
Saving tears
for the never-never now.

Beautiful prose. Reminds me of another's words that stopped me in my tracks once, threw me into some type of introspective fugue state for nearly a week.

But as you said the saving of tears is non-desirable.
If it's safer to not cry, that means being vulnerable/weak would have people prey mercilessly upon your life for the brief moment you are that way.
