Facebook shuts off AI experiment after the "chatbots" create new unrecognizable language

New language was created by chabots to make it easier for them to communicate. The only problem was they were the only one to understand it. The scientists were excited but said it was scary and dangerous.
No shot it is scary imagine the implications if these bots were in the military?

The “chatbots” Alice and Bob modified English to make it easier for them to communicate — creating sentences that were gibberish to watching scientists.
A robot expert said the revelation that Facebook machines had spoken in their own language was exciting — but also incredibly scary.

UK Robotics Professor Kevin Warwick said: “This is an incredibly important milestone, but anyone who thinks this is not dangerous has got their head in the sand.

“We do not know what these bots are saying. Once you have a bot that has the ability to do something physically, particularly military bots, this could be lethal.

It would be amazing if they would release the chat logs so cryptographers and linguists could take a stab at deciphering the language.

My first question is how did these "chatbots" pull this off? Were they somehow programmed to do this?

If they got this to cryptographers it may make this scary situation terrifying.

I'm betting they were cracking jokes about how intrusive Facebook has become.
