Wow!

How is this technology not being used as a military weapon?

Wow, that is fast. I would also want some real good ventilation, that smoke/dust would be dangerous.

I kept thinking how are they not getting rust dust all over the table?

After watching it a few times in a trance, I noticed a vacuum nozzle and 2nd set of hands

The sound is pretty awesome!

Manufacturers should order a box of the hand-held ones, and just let the Maintenance guys give them a whirl.

Not recommended to remove your buddy's embarrassing "Party Monster" tattoo, from his forehead tho.

Just visited the manufacturer page, I would love that in the workshop but guess like most things new we will probably have to wait for it to come down in price a little.

No dust according to that site but I believe there would probably be some despite there claim and I agree good ventilation would be more than advisable as it is literally vaporizing the surface layer.

It make's the claim as well that once cleaned with this metallic surfaces are slightly less prone to corrosion which is indeed interesting, I would like to see just how good it really is though, what depth of rust and other form's of surface oxidization and grime it can work effectively on.

Still nifty, very nifty indeed.

Mesmerizing.

I wonder if tinysicktears would submit himself for a tat removal demonstration.

I advise extreme caution when choosing which areas of the body you designate for removal of hair by laser.

First stage in our transformation to hairless, alien grays? Or perhaps a proto-phaser set for stun

Maybe, but if we're not careful where we point the thing we could accidently transform ourselves out of the genetic lottery.

Super high energy, which requires clean power- and super short range.

Essentially, the laser is super heating the surface so rapidly that it explodes. Catch is, clean steel reflects those light waves- shooting it at a tank would strip the paint at best.
