The website I use to follow the Syrian war ( syria.liveuamap.com ) just posted something very worrying.

Apparently, Russian media is claiming that Syrian Rebels are planning to stage false-flag gas attacks in 3 rebel-held towns in southeast Syria. The attacks will of course be blamed on Assad.

As before, this is happening right as things are starting to go pretty damn well for the Syrian government forces, clearing ISIS out of large swaths of territory, and trying hard to push into Rebel-held areas on several fronts.

The Syria situation is worrisome to say the least.

If we see attacks (or even failed attempts at attacks) in those 3 Southeastern towns, we'll have a pretty good idea of who might be behind them. Unless it is disinformation to take attention off of Assad, but as we saw with the last chem. attack, it likely wasn't Assad and was just a very convenient event for coalition forces to further sink their claws into the region.

Problem is, it doesn´t matter who starts these false flag attacks, the whole world will think it was the former USA, to have a reason for their badly needed war!

That´s the problems with liars, the time will come and nobody will believe you anything anymore, even if you tell the truth. And the behaviour of the former USA the last decades, all the harm it has done to the world and it´s population, doesn´t make it better!

If false flag attacks of the "good beheaders" and "moderate terrorists" are started, the world knows who the real perpetrator is. The creator and protector of these "nice guys"!

Maybe it is the CIA's way of motivating their terrorist assets?? Something like "listen here Ahmed, if you don't pick up some steam fighting Assad, were going to have to sacrifice you in order to pull off some support for you by firing on Assad's forces! Now go suicide bomb whatever you can to slow them down, or else we unleash the gas!!!"

If you get the word out adequately, you might prevent the attacks.

Surely this story has not been issued by the Russian propaganda machinery on the same day the UN confirms that it was Sarin gas used in the last attacks, for which the Syrian dictatorship was accused of carrying out? What a coincidence.

Once again the controlled Russian media are controlling the way news is read. Very clever.

That was another false flag. Or perhaps it was a Rebel nerve gas stockpile that got hit.
It just doesn't make any sense for Assad to use chemical weapons. There's little benefit, and massive risks. It would be a monumentally stupid decision.

In fact, the timing of these incidents strongly points to a false flag. Both then & now, Assad's forces are on a roll, and the Rebels are struggling.

Yes, and I suppose the Syrian jets were the air display team entertaining the masses with their skill and derring-do.

The only people who don't think the Syrian dictatorship have been using sarin agents in the messy civil war are the Syrian dictatorship and their paymasters, the Russians.

The same UN that puts Saudi Arabia as head of the Human Rights Commission?? The same UN that refused to send actual investigators to the scene of the incident to do ANY sort of investigation, or the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical weapons for that matter?? Still not one single independent organization has gone to the sight to investigate and collect actual evidence.
Russia and Syria both called for the UN and OPCW to send people to investigate. They even pleaded and guaranteed the safety and security for people on site.

Nothing. So please explain how the UN could reach any factual conclusion based on zero actual on the ground investigation. As far as I know, only the NATO members of the Security Council are behind this allegation, and have refused to send anybody to do actual investigation in response to Russian and Syrian requests for just that??

Yes, the same UN that eradicated smallpox. Both are irrelevant to the use of sarin in Syria, and the investigation of the OPWC have demonstrated the use in Syria in April. The OPWC being independent of the UN, a fact I did not know.

OPWC use of sarin in Syria

You left me out. This Canadian guy does not believe a single thing the US, Saudis, or NATO claims it knows about Syria. I'm intelligent enough to know better. You just sound like a White House talking point. Get a clue.

it speaks to their credibility, or lack thereof. If they put one of the worst human rights violators on Earth, which KSA is in the top ten at least, as head of Humans rights, why the # would we believe their zero evidence claims from the NATO security council members who already have a proven track record of lying about WMD's to destroy entire societies??

An advance team for the FFM was deployed within 24 hours of being alerted to the incident. For security reasons, the FFM was unable to visit Khan Shaykhun. The rapid deployment to a neighbouring country, however, enabled the team to attend autopsies, collect bio-medical samples from casualties and fatalities, interview witnesses and receive environmental samples.

Yea they went to Turkey, the same place where the Rebels were discovered working on and testing chemical weapons back in 2013. There goes that lack of credibility again.
It also ignores the reports from locals in the neighborhood that scores of people were kidnapped the week before, or the videos of the White Helmets murdering babies on video when they were claiming to be treating them, as stated by various medical experts who witnessed the dead babies video following the attack. Or the freaking cave that was nowhere near the incident site where a Hollywood production by the White Helmets claims they were treating the patients from this chemical incident.

The closest fact based story is that Syria did an airstrike on know rebel leadership, which they conveyed to Russia prior and subsequently through them to Coalition forces. It just so happens that site was storing various chemicals for civilian application, and possibly for other purposes of questionable intent.

This. Unless you're actually on the ground doing the investigating yourself, you're simply left with a choice of which to believe. Either side could be lying. You or I will never know for sure.

Hmmm. Nothing turning up yet on my usual site, and they usually break attacks pretty quickly.

The Rebel-held area east of Damascus isn't one of the three areas false-flag listed before. Also, those guys have made phony claims of being gassed before. This is likely just another case of the boy crying "wolf."
