This young Latvian lady, at the age of 20, came out of nowhere and boom wins a grand slam. She has never won a WTA title before. And here she is, a grand slam champion. If I'm not mistaken, winning a grand slam without winning a smaller title before is unprecedented. All I say is wow, nobody saw that coming. Congratulations to Jelena and hoping for more years of high performance from her.

a reply to: allsee4eye My nickname for her is "Thumper" she reminds me of the rabbit in Bambi.And she thumps the ball. When she figures how to serve (12-1 oclock and out in front)and gets in shape shes going to win lots of majors.and be a force on the tour.
