Is Ransomware staging of a up coming production sale out?

For Dutch TV a security expert called Wannacry already a "cyber-apocalypse", though the impact was only minor, 8 years ago there was a much bigger attack world wide.

Bigger in computers affected.
OK this ransomware thing had more publicity.

For a fist full of dollars (bitcoins) $30,000 was the income earned in ransom, so is said.

So some hackers will sell their soul for that amount, will be worth dog dung when internet totally collapses (PS: this is called a sale out)
