Just heard on CNN's Wolf Blitzer that Donald Rumsfeld attempted to resign twice during the prison abuse scandal. rumsfeld made the comments in a taped interview with Larry King which is to be aired tonight. No details on CNN yet. Will update when more info is available

How confident can the American public be in Rumsfeld if he attempted to resign twice but either wasn't allowed or was persuaded to stay on under Bush? It will be interesting to see the details of this when it becomes available.
