And pride is the devil
Are you talking about man's laws or the law of love?
There are a lot of things that are "legal" that are immoral.

There is a right answer. Humans can't figure it out with their own observations. It must be revealed to us.

There is no right answer,
There's no correct side
For all human endeavors
Are either survival
Or pride
And survival is a beast
Which cannot be tamed
And pride is the devil
That leaves you in flames

This is based on fear. Love assumes a few things from the foundation. We have what we need at every moment. Death is an illusion. Fear is based on perceived lack. In truth, all events are managed and one law removes the need for any others as restriction. The one law is outlined here better than I could ever say it with description:
Dhammapada Choices
Law has only one requirement, which is the same prerequisite of any virtue. For instance, to have peace, a person must be peaceful. To have faith, a person must be faithful. Faithful to what? Faithfulness is a dependent absolute. Either a person is faithful to the one law, or they are bound by all others. Love is its own prerequisite. If it is attained as a personal value held, then all other laws are null and void. The gift of liberation in life is the attainment of one virtue, which encompasses all others. You cannot know this until the goal is reached. Left without the one law applied, the gift of liberation is not realized, leaving the mind in a state of tyranny to the desire and fear that binds it.

If you are right, would that be a right answer?
Since there was no original question, it wasn't even an answer to begin with.
So if that answers your question, then it was probably wrong too. =]
What about the tyranny of New Age religions and philosophies?
