I've seen quite a few strange looking devices, from chairs to desks, that are supposedly of ergonomic design, but this keyboard must be at the top of the list.

Vertical Keyboard

Would anyone actually use one of these things or they just another gimmick, destined to go the way of Betamax video players and the Sinclair C5 ?

Edit: Can't type with a normal keyboard, let alone a vertical one

Actually, looks quite easy to use. Left hand in the middle, with the right on the side. I think the sides are your choice which to use. I take it the opposite side comes off?

If you've never learned to touch type, this keyboard would be ridiculous.
If you have, it could be ergonomically "just right". As far as obsolete keyboards go.

Why are we using a QWERTY keyboard over 100 years old that along with the stupid mouse tool, causing thousands of hapless users to develop OOS/RSI/carpal tunnel syndrome every day in every pocket of civilization?

Pisky, please do something about that, or tell Bill Gates to do something useful with his life.
