EU House of Cards

There's this interview with Juncker I need to share:

euronews – Isabelle Kumar:

"But we have the impression that the European Union is looking more and more like a house of cards. Austria is holding a presidential election in a few days time that could put a far-right leader in leadership for the first time since the Second World War. There is talk of plans for a referendum then being held on EU membership. Things are getting very worrying, aren’t they?"

President of the European Commission – Jean-Claude Juncker:

"We can’t deny or take away the people of Europe’s right to express their views. Regarding referenda on EU membership, I think it is not wise to organise this kind of debate, not only because I might be concerned about the final result but because this will pile more controversy onto the huge number already present at the heart of the EU."

euronews

This is pretty huge and it illustrates the mob-rule of oligarchy in our NWO. They are not interested in democracy, European Values, the common good or us people. They want to impose their strive for greed and power on the rest of us, on our costs, in disguise of the usual paternalism.

This isn't the beginning of the end, but rather the end of the beginning. His utter disrespect for the Europeans will only fuel the growing concerns and with that in mind I'd say it's great news after all.
There's probably more to this than what meets the eye, maybe you have something special in mind to share, regarding this "House of Cards"?

What's your take on this, ATS? Thanks for reading and have a great time!

The liberal left has destroyed the world, the right wingers are trying to salvage the remnants.

He means the EU is "too big" to fail.

Neoliberalism did play a big role in this, liberalism alone isn't really the problem here. At least that's the way I'd look at it, but you're spot on with regards to the right wingers.

Very tired, indeed! Your alias is spot on as well, we're the ones "to big to fail" here.

One thing that might topple the house of cards is making EU pay for its own "defense". Did I hear Trump suggest something like that? President elect 'suggestions' aside, NATO is emplacing 300 more troops, ostensibly to counter "Russian Aggression"--

The marines would be stationed in Vaernes, an air station just outside the Norwegian city of Trondheim – only 100 kilometers from Russia. NATO has claimed that this move is part of a long-standing effort to deter “Russian aggression” despite the fact that Russia has in no way threatened Norway or other countries on its borders.

Juncker is an alcoholic control freak.

What the E.U has done to Greece is diabolical and Italians are beginning to realise it could be them next and an increasing number are looking to get out of the mess.

Then we have elections in France and Germany next year, which could also add to Juncker and Co's misery.

It is not willing to reform and is so adamant on pushing through the Bilderbergs agenda, that it could well be the end for them within a year.

Not all E.U countries are part of NATO, but there is a push for an E.U army, which I am so glad the U.K will not be a part of. Well, if we ever do actually invoke Article 50, we won't,

It's just the death rattle of the EU ruling elite.

Rest assured that it's days are numbered. The collapse has already started. 2017 will be a huge year for Anti-EU, Pro-Independence parties across the continent. It might even be the final year of the EU parasite, but I think it'll be able to clutch desperately to life for a few more years after that.

Hah, let me know when they discard the Euro dollar and return fiscal autonomy to individual member nations.

Europe's far left that has been in power mismanaged what they were given terribly, and the hens will come home to roost. They really could have stayed in power indefinitely if they hadn't entirely squandered what they had. They have only themselves to blame. I'm not into far right authoritarianism any more than I am far left authoritarianism. But that seems to be what the masses demand, one or the other. Got me why.

The EU will implode, the economic path its on, a social democracy or socialism has a cycle and if the cycle is allowed to play out the terminal phase is characterised by economic decline which leads to forced change, this is happening in many (probably all) member countries.

Tick tock

The thing about the "ruling elite" is that they will persist and are often the first in the lifeboats!
The EU cannot hide the fact it has deep structural problems with the way it works. Groupthink is part of this problem, as made clear by BREXIT. Just think that if the EU’s elite actually sat back and considered the discontent in the UK, they may have taken Cameron’s plea for flexibility seriously, instead they laughed in his face. Who’s laughing now?

The EU will persist, but it will do so by closer integration and ignoring the views of many citizens. If the BREXIT-type referendum was held in every EU country today, the EU would end up consisting of Belgium and Luxembourg. Typical of the Brits to show the way.

Don't worry too much about that. Right now, it's looking like the EU collapse will probably come first.

Ignoring the views of its people is what got the EU where it is today. It's the problem, not the solution.

I have to agree wth that. When the stock market crashed in the US in 1929 the wealthy people behind it became even more wealthy. The people that payed the price were ordinary citizens. Same with every other crash like the bailout in 2008, too. The people at the top that 'screwed it up' got 'bailed out' by the gubment, the taxpayers get the bill.

The problem with current hegemony is the same as the rest in recorded history. Before it collapses there will be a lot more war, death and destruction. The elite will escape this mostly until the very end, then they will just wipe the financial slate, issue 'new' money and start over.

Meanwhile theres a military and police 'presence' building up in those 'member' nations. Double edge swords, far as the ruling class are concerned, the Russians are the stated enemy, but so are the citizens.

Hes a dangerous fellow indeed.

Someone once posted some quotes from a speech he made where he basically states the agenda of rule by stealth, destruction of nations and branding any opposition as "the threat of nationalism".

I wish I could find a translation of the whole speech.
I would make a copy for everyone.

Needs to be more widely known
