To bathe in the warmth of your appreciation.
Rise above your lower instincts, I forgive you.

Love is always selfish. Expression of me feeling superior.
Or me wanting to possess. But me, me, me, there is no selfless love.
It's a trap.
I won't love anymore. I won't expect anything from you anymore.
I won't pretend you are "good", I won't judge who you are in comparison to my expectations.
But I respect your nature.
I will smile at your minor clumsy mishaps.
I will argue with you if you interfer with my business.
I will help and accept help if necessary.
But I won't love. I won't idolise you.
Delude myself to ignore your failure. I am flawed you are and love is a lie that will get us killed.

Nicely done, but you may love again. Hope never dies, it just gets buried somewhere deep within.

There is eros, phylos and agape all forms of love but not until you rid yourself of an aparent need for me or mine, does love reveal itself as it is. a reply to: Peeple

It doesnt sound to me that you are describing love.
