A laughing seal, hugging frogs and a startled hippo were among the most hilarious finalists of The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, but it was a photo of a racing rodent by Austrian photographer Julian Rad (left) that took top prize in the inaugural competition in London in 2015. It’s easy to see why judges had a hard time whittling down to the top 45 finalists announced in Oct. 2015 from among the 1,502 entries the competition received from 52 countries. The first-ever comedy photo awards for animals in the wild was founded by wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks. What are your favorite images?
