It's about time for another MODS appreciation thread!

Hi all,

Things have been getting a bit heated lately. By a bit, I mean really heated. I've found myself on a few occasions in threads that get my temperature up, or that leave me feeling soiled just from having seen it. Which leads me to the point of this thread--

Dear mods, here's a huge thank you and round of applause from a very appreciative member! You have to wade right in, regardless of the quality of the water, and for that alone, you deserve some gratitude. You also have the very difficult "job" (volunteer) of deciding just how much junk can be slung in the spirit of free speech and what is overstepping the bounds of common courtesy (which, believe me, having seen other forums that don't have any regard for that, I have to say I respect and appreciate ATS for having a sense of decorum.)

Keep it classy, mods, and THANK YOU from us all!!!!

We appreciate your hard work, and especially at this particularly divisive moment in time.. here's hoping things calm down in about a month and you can relax slightly and better enjoy your time on here (now that's making the assumption that you don't love being in the middle of messy political debates).

But hey what prompted this? Reading a thread about Hilary being a lesbian.. then I thought about how awful it would have to be to read all these junky threads.. at least I was there by choice and could leave at will!

I do appreciate your thread OP, and i'm sure the mods have a hard job with all the looney tunes around here.

Not sure if i'm one of those but sure say my fair share on subject matters/thread's etc.

You have to admit though, some of those looney tunes can make some rather entertaining threads. You know, the kind that are so way out there that you want to say something funny as a reply, but you're trying to be nice so you end up saying nothing at all. LOL

Very true and i do/have had many laughs in those threads that pop up a few times a week, like today's (I am Ecclesiastes) lol that was a good 5-6 on the funny factor.
