A SCUD missile complete with launcher truck is up for sale on internet auction site eBay.

But evil geniuses and James Bond villains need not apply - it can't be fired any more.

The Scud's owner hopes to flog the launcher and missile for £22,500 to a Hollywood film company.

And if that doesn't work, he reckons the 33-foot, 10-ton truck would be perfect for a 4X4 nut who really thinks big.

Richard Moore's ad on eBay says: 'It's the biggest SUV you'll find. It makes a Humvee look like a Dinky toy.'

But he adds: 'Please don't ask about the fuel economy! You'd have to reset the pump several times to fill its three tanks.'

The launcher has been repaired and repainted and only has 2200 miles on the clock.

Saddam Hussein used such trucks to fire Scuds at Israel and Saudi Arabia durin g the first Gulf War in 1991. But Richard, of March, Cambridgeshire, believes his model came from Ukraine.

Richard, a former classic cars salesman, now specialises in selling old Soviet trucks. And he is confident of making a killing on the titanium and fibre--glass Scud launcher.

He said: 'A film company in Hollywood has enquired about this truck, but no money has been transferred yet.

'I sell to all sorts. One man wanted a truck so his choir could sing in the back.'

who wants to park that baby in his backyard to scare the neighbours?
or better, keep it in your garage, and take it out for weekend.

Wow that just shows how crazy ebay is,know what would be kinda funny if Osama Bin Laden bought the scud launcher, then armed it with a real scud missile, and all the other crap that goes to the scud launcher.

well it would probably cost him more to put all the stuff into it then to buy it, if it can't fire then it probably needs serious work, if i were selling that i woudent just clip a few wires and cross my fingers that i dis armed it right, u know what i mean?

the key components for firing/launching are probably removed entirely, not just a mere wire clipping

Ho#, I would totally buy that. I would take up like a whole row of spaces in my school parking lot.

That means I would need about 40 parking permits.
