Debates and politics in general have been moved out of the realm of being serious and a logical debate over policy (I'm not sure they ever were) and instead into a team sport where fun and entertainment is the product they produce. Everyone should boycott them. It's not the role of politicians to entertain you, and they shouldn't be rewarded for doing so.
