It appears that Microsoft's Internet Explorer is begining to lose it's monopoly. Apparently the Firefox internet browser is on the rise. According
to Yahoo! news Firefox now has 4.78% of the market in comparison to Microsofts ninety percent. Although almost five percent seems small it is an
improvement from the 3.9% it once had.

The Internet Explorer browser continues to lose market share, while open-source darling Firefox still is attracting users.
IE now commands around 90 percent of the market, according to Web analytics company WebSideStory, which puts the browser's share at 90.3 percent.
Firefox now has a 5 percent slice.

With this subtle yet steady rise in the use of Firefox it may be the end of the Microsoft monopoly within a few years. With Microsoft's Internet
Explore dropping down to ninety percent it may be time for an upgrade from Microsoft. Within a few years Firefox may on a par with Microsoft. It is
also possible that it will simply open the market for other browsers to compete with Microsoft.
As the article states, one of the main reasons for this shift is probably security concerns. Since Internet Explore is the most commonly used it
makes it a more common target for hackers. I feel that Microsoft is going to need to launch an aggresive campaign to halt the receeding pool of
Internet Explorer users.
