I gained my freedom but lost my Independence,
Now I walk the road of Independence over my shoulder.

Giving away my freedom made me Independent,
My hopes and dreams became true after watching my freedom dissapear into the sky.

Now I live in a Independent world,
A nation where every human has lost their freedom,

The steps I have taken now to get back my freedom caused me to lose my Independence.
The Earth below my Independence shakes the sky.

As I seem lost I am happy to have my freedom back,
They can keep my Independence and I made a choice to live free...

Good stuff. I can relate to this, at least the way I interpreted it.

I want more freedom too but it would indeed mean giving up some independence.
