Yeah I thought the same and it had little tidbits of multi conspiracies in it.

This show made my summer, this is the best thing I've seen in years.

It's gettin' good!

A unique twist of paranormal, "murder" mystery, science fiction and government conspiracy / cover-up.

Finished it about two days ago love it.

I finished it a few days ago and I am looking forward to season 2.
It is a familyish centered series with characters who are constantly growing and maturing as family and friends. It is a thriller that didn't seem to over the top, at least not for me. I hate scary movies, but an intense conspiracy movie I can dig. I would also recommend starting a fan club for this show, it's that good. I meet 3 times a week with a group back in my home town to discuss episodes, dress up like the characters, and write new episodes to flesh out the story. There are 43 of us, that should indicate how good this show is. Of course none of us graduated from high school and such. But this show really gives our lives purpose. Perhaps you will agree.

I watched the whole thing when it first came out, loved it.

Looks like second season is a go.

Much to the delight of sci-fi fans of all kinds, that question has now been answered with the announcement of a second season coming in 2017.

I just heard that! So happy.
I also caught a snippet of an interview, where they were talking about how many networks passed on this series and that it had turned out to be a hit.

I hope someone feels pretty stupid for turning it down.

The show reminded me of shows from the 80's like "the Gate"

It actually made me go back and watch Goonies, and the Lost boys. LOL Goonies holds up well. The Lost boys, not so much. I don't remember The Gate. I'll have to check it out.

Netflix appears to now what the viewers want. I love there other original series Narcos and can't wait for season 3 on that one.

Although they had several botches like the ridiculous six that was, well just ridiculous.

The Gate is basically cheese-fest Speilberg-esque. But one of my favorites. The acting and effects are somewhat lacking, but still fun. Kids find that a metal group's (whose gimmick is being satanic) album actually does open a gate to Hell if played backwards. Turns out the band was really actually into the occult. Of course, they then struggle to close the gate.

The effects while lacking become a bit more impressive when you learn what techniques they used to do them. Still looks goofy on screen, but considering the techniques.
