Now that I think about it, it should be that swastika toting one. He would legalize marijuana, then England would be so stoned. THE US COULD INVADE AND CAPTURE THE PRINCESS'S!

Maybe you can make a short story out of that!

I hope Chaz does better than his namesakes. Charles I was beheaded as a part of England's 20-year affair with a military dictator, and his son Charles II was unceremoniously kicked out during the Glorious Revolution of 1688 which led to the accession of the House of Orange.

Sorry it is rescue the princess's, not capture.

So the story goes:

Swastika bearing 15 year old becomes the king of England. In his marijuana induced euphoria, he has the government hand out "weed" to everyone, which you musts moke on Sundays.

Back in the United States, President Bush decides that "weed" is a weapon of mass destruction, and they are sure England has lots of it.

On the next Sunday powwow in England, US marines are seen landing off England's coast flashing strobe lights. Millions of Britians are in seizure and laughter from the US invasion and their strobe lights.

Come Monday, the marines are gone and they take with them the Quenn and the princess's. They are rescued from the potheads.

US pledges there will be no more Nazi revolution and we will not be bringing back the 60's with a new drug renassiance.

End of story.

Lords can become Prime Minister. I doubt a King can become his own Prime Minister tho. also, some have said, dump the monarchy. Why not start with dumping the House of Lords first?

Actually, the Monarch still has the power to completely dissolve Parlaiment at the click of a finger. The ruling Monarch also has the right to create and dump and laws he or she deems right.

So, technically, the Monarch of the UK has supreme power.

The monarch has the right to dissolve partiament! Is that right?
I thought the whole Black Rod (no, he's not a porn star!) knocking on the door to let the queen in at the opening of parliament ceremony was a sign that parliament now stood as a seperate entity which the royals had no direct control over. Wasn't part of the deal when Charles II came to the throne that royalty could not interfere with elected members of the house?

Correct me if I am wrong here, but didn't Edward 8 have to abdicate his throne because of his love life, making his brother George 6 king? Would that not have set the precedent for what will happen because of Charles, his wandering "William", and his divorce? If that precedent is followed, shouldn't Andrew be the next king?
