There's a BBC science show called 'The Infinite Monkey Cage.' In this episode (mp3), from here, they had an entertaining debate about death and the point when we can define a strawberry as dead.

As a yoot, we went frog gigging and I, of course, had just read about Galvani and Volta, and had to try it out. Yep, that's pretty attention getting. I can only imagine the impact it would have had on Volta, or Shelley.
