Watch out for dentist trying to sell you a dental insurance plan.

I had a wisdom tooth go bad and the dentist tried to sell me a insurance plan that would have cost me big time

Under the plan having the wisdom tooth would have cost me $75 to have it pulled. plus the plan cost of $50 a month.

The dentist had to put me on antibiotics for two weeks before he could pull it.

While waiting for the antibiotics to work i got transferred on my construction job to another town and went to a dentist there and he pulled the tooth for $45 and told me that i should watch out for some dentist selling insurance.
some of them just raise the price so that you pay the same amount as you would at other dentist.
Plus they get to pocket the insurance money they bill the insurance company.

This first dentist that tried to sell me the insurance also told me the stainless steel crown i have on another tooth would have to be replaced because they were only temporary and i would have to have it replaced with a gold crown.

That turned out to be BS to.
he was trying to line his pocket with unneeded treatments.

After that i got most of my dental work done at dental schools and found that was the best and cheapest place around.
