Those Trails Left by the June 2, 2016 Fireball over Arizona

Did the winds twist the trails around, as alleged in this news report:

Now those were probably real persistant contrails.
They dispersed, after a long time.
Those that stay there all day and then some, are NOT persistant Contrails!...

Yep, the wind did that to the trails.

I used to live about 15 miles north of Cape Canaveral/ Kennedy Space Center, and watched the differing wind directions turn the trail from the rocket launches all different ways.

I even saw one once that was a literal curly que.

Is that what we call a "persistent contrail"?

I had the same question. Then I looked at the original video of the flash. It was dark outside, the flash and then dark again. I think that was at 3 something in the morning. Then places such as the UK's Daily News put up pictures of mysterious pretzel-shaped contrails in a morning or evening sky. One of the images was a file photo and had a date of 1994. So then everything should be suspect that there was a flash in the sky and that it probably was a meteor.


I remain open to more details about this case, but it looks bogus to me as far as a connection of the flash to the contrails.

It's a trail made by a meteor. The fact that it lasted for longer than a few minutes, should be something you and others pay attention to, unless you think "they" made this event happen. It kind of solidifies that points made in the past that contrails can and do persist given the right conditions.
