Drew Peterson found guilty in murder-for-hire plot

Looks like his time behind the thin blue line has ended....he just didn't accept or realize it until now.

Peterson was accused of trying to hire a fellow inmate's uncle to kill Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow. Peterson is serving a 38-year sentence in ex-wife Kathleen Savio's death and faces up to 60 more years in prison. On Tuesday, prosecutors said prison recordings of Peterson speaking with a fellow inmate prove he wanted the prosecutor killed. But Peterson's defense lawyer says Peterson never explicitly says in the recordings that he wanted Glasgow killed.

Interesting to see that even after convicted, this piece of trash that used to hold himself above others when a LEO still thinks himself above the law. Well, I guess a jury disagreed with him.

I know many on ATS probably don't like the idea of judges assigning the death penalty. In my opinion any case where there is overwhelming evidence that a person committed a murder should have an automatic and quick death sentence. I also think anyone behind bars who is caught plotting a murder for hire should also be put to death.

Why should taxpayers have to finance keeping these scumbags alive for the rest of their miserable lives? Why should we preserve their life when they decided to end an innocent life and bring torment and pain to their families? Many of these scumbags show no remorse for their killings.

Those proved without a shadow of a doubt should die. Those who are convicted of more menial crimes should go to jail. However, instead of financing and profiting from one imprisonment, focus on establishing an actual rehibilitation "prison" is the way to go.

Not like it really matters. Too many dumb people control this planet and too many dumb people justify dumb people's action.

Sit around and continue waiting for ... the Zombie Apocalypse.

Don't forget what brought Drew's actions to the public - the disappearance of his third wife - he was convicted of killing his second but they haven't found Stacey's body so they cannot bring a murder charge. (Illinois law requires a body).

So this guy is going to sit in jail for the rest of is life and still for some sick macho reasons. You would think he would want to end the suffering of Stacey's family.

If cops wouldn't have their stupid code of silence, this could have been prevented. Drew as brought up on charges of telling a dealer about an undercover cop and he still got his job back.

(BTW - I don't think torturing him will do anything for society - even someone like this should just be locked away)

Prisons have turned into dormitories. They can enjoy the outside, play basketball and are give access to weight lifting equipment to increase their muscle mass. What a great way to make them hulk up and become more of a threat to the community once they're released. They're given prisoner's rights! In my opinion, they lost their rights the moment they committed their crime!
