Beautiful Video of a Hydromedusa

This stunningly beautiful jellyfish was seen during Dive 4 of the 2016 Deepwater Exploration of the Marianas expedition on April 24, 2016, while exploring Enigma Seamount at a depth of ~3,700 meters.

As a kid, I was always fascinated with the Marianas Trench. Wondering what kind of fantastic creatures might be living down there. It makes me so happy that, even with my overactive imagination, reality exceeds my expectations.

Wow! Thanks for this! How very weird and beautiful. I wish we had spent the amount of money exploring our oceans as we did/do space. There is no telling what is right up under us and we have no clue!
