Searching for her smile (sonnet)

Searching for her smile,
The one that makes me pine,
In my dreams and fantasies,
I see it all the time

Her visage always obscured,
Recognition out of reach,
So i post my desire here,
Hoping you'll feel me across the breach

The light of love is fading,
Shadows growing long,
Take my eyes no matter,
My heart beats in rhythm with her song

So if my sonnet strikes you,
A message you could use,
Then compose your own riposte,
Perhaps you are my muse
