" Niburu " is from a misunderstanding of Mesopotamian languages

Z. Sitchin postulated the existence of a wandering planet, titled " Niburu "

He determined this by reading Sumerian texts, iirc, and came to the conclusion that this planet had an orbit lasting 3600 years
This is the Babylonian term " saru ", which means 3600

However, it appears he did not study or understand Mesopotamian languages

A " saru ' is not the same thing in Akkadian as it is in Babylonian as it is in Sumerian or Hebrew [ Aramaic ]

The modern day concept of " the holy spirit " dates back to Mesopotamia and this is what Sitchin mangled understanding

Now, sans diacritical marks:

" Saru " in Akkadian is cognate to the Hebrew " ruach " [ Air / spirit / breath ], but in Akkadian it referred to the breath of Enlil, and was said to summon storms

" saru " in Babylonian is the number 3600, a term from their base 60 system of mathematical astronomy

" saru " in Sumerian means " wind " [ generally ]

" saru " in Assyrian means " king " or " to loosen "

" sa-ru " in Hebrew means " to turn away from / apostasy ]

The antecedent of the Akkadian " saru " was the Sumerian " Sar ", which was the area measure for a garden in Mesopotamia

The " sar " was what lent itself as the basis of " the garden of eden "

The " sar " also generally referred to " the universe " or " the cosmos "

One thing is certain here, Z. sitchin did not know Mesopotamian languages, and he certainly did not know anything about their mathematical astronomy

There is no planet Niburu

The " place of crossing " refers to the eclipse node where it appeared the sun and Moon crossed paths

This reappears in the hieroglyphs symbol for Heliopolis [ the center of Sun worship ] as the " X " within a circle, and again as the paleo-hebrew alphabet letter ' Tav " drawn as a " X " or a cross

It's confusing to consider, but in the ancient world, the semiosis of the grapheme sometimes had very special meaning

Cheers

I dont see any Nemisis or Nibiru out there.
BUT........ If you have ever read the scriptures......... There is something out there that people see in th end times when they look to the skies. Something that scares the holy krapp out of them. They are so frightened by what they see, that they long to pull mountains over ther top of them. So what is that? There is also something that makes the oceans Roar. What does that?

Well nibiru does not exist but planet X just may.

Maybe that's it.

He used the Sumerian term SAR (Akkadian Shar), which in the Sumerian sexigesimal system represented the number 3600. Sitchin also claimed the symbol SAR (depicted as a large circle) represented a planet as well.

From "Genesis Revisited"

When record keeping began, a stylus with a round tip was used to impress on wet clay the various symbols that stood for the numbers 1, 10, 60, 600, and 3,600. The ultimate numeral was 3,600, signified by a large circle; it was called SAR (Shar in Akkadian) the “princely” or “royal” number, the number of Earth-years it took Nibiru to complete one orbit around the Sun.

From "The Twelfth Planet"

While such an orbital period cannot be ruled out, the Mesopotamian and biblical sources present strong evidence that the orbital period of the Twelfth Planet is 3,600 years. The number 3,600 was written in Sumerian as a large circle. The epithet for the planet - SHAR ("supreme ruler") also meant "a perfect circle," a "completed cycle." It also meant the number 3,600. And the identity of the three terms - planet/orbit/3600 - could not be a mere coincidence.

So wait he said;" nibiru travelled for 3600 years, and in another language 3600 means something else, and if you change that into another language it means something very different..

WoooooW.. Its like quantum magic with words..

War of the Worlds, huge cloud formations blazing with fire and brimstone raining down...kind of like that? Independence Day, UFOs emerging from engulfing flames within clouds? All point to Revelations descriptions.

The roaring seas could be due to atmospheric disturbances or gravitational influences. A mountain plunges into an ocean, Wormwood?

Mountain shelters for the rich, but even they cannot escape judgement. The end of Earth as we know it, another Earth appears and beams up the faithful.

Planet X will be identified, but I agree, Nibiru as Ole' Stichy describes is not likely. The emergence of Red Horns or tails in the sky could be a solar flare. But remember, even the Messiah returns ablaze with sword in hand. All pointing to Hell and Heaven in our atmosphere at one point or another.

Whatever comes our way from out there, or up there, will be awesome and terrifying.

Crazy thought...what if our Sun, released from the bottomless pit (another dimension) will be cast back to the bottomless pit? A Black Hole as the bottomless pit? What could extinguish the Sun? A wandering cosmic object? What could make our Sun go haywire? Darkness for days, 1/3 of the Earth is scorched, stars fall from Heaven, all that Revelations doom, seriously scary stuff from above that destroys all below.

Well....I am no religionist by any means..
But a "burning mountain cast into the sea could refer to a huge Krakatoa type blow up of an island......
It kills off a third of the fish a third of ships at sea etc....
Sounds like a tsunami too...
But it could be the blue star Kachina for all of me....

What Sitchin didn't know was that he was getting a clue to the origins of astrolatry, which is far stranger than anybody realizes

Babylonian / Assyrian gematria encoded knowledge of a calculator embedded in the digits of Pi

A calculator for the Three-Body system of Sun, Earth and it's Moon

It starts with the number Plato attempted to decipher, written about in his passage in the Republic

" Plato's number " [ " This entire geometrical number " he calls it ]

This knowledge in turn is the reason the " Great Pyramid was built "

Pi encodes the proof that " aliens " made man, and the number that Plato studied is what the Babylonians used when they designed the Torah

According to "The Electronic Text Corpus of the Sumerian Literature" (from Oxford University), Neither "nibiru" or "saru" are Sumerian words.

The Sumerian word for 'wind' is "kug" or "kurg".

According to the book "The Babylonian Gilgamesh Epic: Introduction, Critical Edition and ..., Volume 2 By A. R. George" on page 782, "sar" is a multiple of 3600 in their base 60 system of measures (sar = 1,0,0 sexugesimal). 2 sar = 7,200 of something.

In Akkadian (according to "A Concise Dictionary of Akkadian" by Jeremy A. Black, A. R. George, J. N. Postgate: "sar" means "wind" but "saru" means "a hostile enemy" or "to slander".

Many people draw conclusions from word similarities that may not exist in fact.

Dan Brown's book "The Da Vinci Code" has good examples of invalid cross language and cross cultural conclusions being drawn from semiotics, to support ridiculous hypotheses.

A very interesting thread thank you.

I would mention though that the sign for the earth astrologically is the circle with the cross in it - we hardly ever see it because we are on the earth so its rarely drawn or depicted.

I would like to drop another 'star' that has a dreadful connotation for the earth and that's the flaming Wormwood in Revelation etc etc it is commanded to hit the earth by one of the angels of the apocalypse and affects the water turning it bitter and thus humans who drink it will die.

What is fascinating also is that we have at some time in the ancient past had a planet or something go through our solar system because most of the planets all turn the same way except for Uranus which turns on its side and Venus which goes backwards to everyone else and of course the possible missing planet between Mars and Jupiter which is now the asteroid belt.

It seems to hinge on the information the Sumerians were given by who ever was left of some previous very advanced civilisation on this planet which was devastated and the connotations from this which have been turned into religious belief for a lot of people. IMHO.

The word 'ibir' is contained within 'nibiru'.

It is not a star, it is a transport. name meaning - 'that which crosses over'

well, no point in explaining anything to you, you know it all already

I was really looking forward to finally explaining the secrets you've all tried so hard to answer all these years

Maybe you'll find my website someday

Good luck

The roaring seas could be due to atmospheric disturbances or gravitational influences. A mountain plunges into an ocean, Wormwood?

-In many archaic literature sources, the "seas" or "oceans" are often intended to semiotically represent "The People" or "the masses"

-When Toba blew, a mountain did indeed fall into the water. circa 74K years ago.
toba.arch.ox.ac.uk...

-Wormwood (Artemisia) is biblically touted to be a either a star or an angel, and otherwise, spiritually, represents "bitterness of spirit" in most apocrypha Ive read.

- the phrase 'Perfect Circle' often refers to Time/5th dimension and "the rope of God". This representation appears often in the Nag Hammadi Library sources and TEToT
gnosis.org...

- if you look at environmental registers globally right now, we already have oceanic dead zones, a hyper rate of animal existinction and entire sections of countries unfarmable...unliveable .

Z. Sitchin took more than just the writings into account but also the history and statues and art. Personally I feel intuitively he is right about many things.

No, he misidentified the epithet most commonly used for Jupiter

From the Mul Apin (i.e. the Babylonians)

When the stars of Enlil have been finished, one big star – although its light is dim – divides the sky in half and stands there: that is, the star of Marduk (MUL dAMAR.UD), Nibiru (né-bé-ru), Jupiter (MULSAG.ME.GAR); it keeps changing its position and crosses the sky.

Give me your website address and I'll be sure to never go there.

Rational thinking tends to dismiss people claiming to know "secrets" and wanting to explain them on the internet.

You are disappointed to meet a group of people that know more about this subject than you because you are unable to assume the role you desire - that of enlightening people with your so-called "knowledge."
