Two days after bomb attacks at Brussels airport and on a packed metro killed 31 people and injured hundreds, a security guard who worked at a Belgian nuclear plant was murdered and his pass was stolen, Belgian media reported on Saturday.

The French language Derniere Heure (DH) newspaper reported the security guard's badge was de-activated as soon as it was discovered he had been shot dead in the Charleroi region of Belgium and his badge stolen.

A police spokeswoman said she could not comment because an investigation was ongoing.

Belgian nuclear guard shot and security access badge stolen

Things not looking too good for Europe at the moment, Paris got militarized after the attacks, i bet they could put a few hundred troopers in each nuclear plant if they could do it in Paris, is not like there are millions of nuclear plants, I mean they know terrorist want to do it, there is no excuse if it happens.

What is that guy thinking? Like he's in a James Bond movie?
Steal the access card and magically no one would find out. All they need to do is cancel that guards access card...

These terrorists aren't that bright are they, hence why they need to make crude explosives.

The thing is, once an attack like this happens in a country where they don't have corrupt police, a secure political government, vigilant citizens, and stable society it's extremely hard to carry out another attack. It's not some rag tag war torn middle eastern country anymore.

If 'terrorists' were stupid enough to go after a nuclear plant.

The gloves would come off from the west.

People forget European, and the US.

Civilians control the military.

A nuclear plant which is essentially one giant dirty bomb. That would kill hundreds of thousands, and effect a multitude of other countries.

The leash would be taken off the military.

My only questions are, how long after he was killed did they know was it just minutes or hours, and what access did he could he go anywhere or was he limited to certain areas

Move it to hoax while we're at it ...
The badge was never stolen, they just couldn't find it immediately alongside his other personal belongings.
The authorities confirmed they found the badge later.
