but no one seemed to listen or even care. they dont realise it could be anytime between now and a thousand years. would you risk millions of people from several countries. the world is changing, thats what i believe and its too predictable.

I remember reading somewhere that the risk for the east coast, of the US, is not that great for a mega tsunami. They claimed that because of the shape of the continental shelf the energy would dissipate greatly before it reached the coast. It seems that continental shelf on the east coast is much broader and slopes gently so the wave would probably collapse in on istelf before it reached the coastal areas. Of course, there would still be a great volume of water inundating the coast but it might not be a 100 meter monster. I'll see if I kind find some more info on this theory.
