Ankara: Naji Jerf, a prominent Syrian journalist and filmmaker, who had exposed the atrocities committed by the Islamic State in Aleppo through a series of documentaries, was shot dead by unknown assailants in broad daylight in Gaziantep, Turkey.

That is the third assassination of a journalist during the last three months in Turkey.

He's the third journalist to be assassinated inside Turkey?! With new evidence continuing to come forward of an ISIS/Turkey connection and the fact that Turkey has already been locking up journalists it sure does seem like somebody is trying to hide something!

Between being locked up by the gov't or assassinated, being a journalist in Turkey is a very dangerous gig!

Turkey seem a little slow, aren't they supposed to silence the journalists before they speak their truth ? not after as that only makes their truth more true and much much louder

But I guess if they're happy to risk war with Russia by shooting down one of their jets then what's a few journalists to them, better stop them now before they dig up more dirt and show the Turkish rulers for what they really are

Turkey's true colors have emerged over how it has handled ISIS (read: aided and abetted)

Well as you can see they've been arresting and killing them. Problem for Turkey is they can't get their hands on every single journalist in the world so for now they can only silence them once they're in Turkey.

Clearly Turkey needs to be investigated by.... the UN? NATO? Ugh..?

This government is incredibly hard to dislodge by locals, everything is rigged from top to bottom journalist have been cowed into making public apologies for not towing the line, Erdoğan is very close to Putin in outlook.
