The Ant Farm

There are those that gather,
There are those that build,
There are those that bury,
There are those that fill,
There are those that grow,
There are those that sew,
There are those that attack,
There are those that defend,
There are those that explore,
There are those that order,
There are those that obey.

Sounds a bit familiar; Earth is an Ant farm.

Ever been walking in a field and suddenly feel the sting of 1000’s of ants? You stepped on their home and they had no choice but to defend themselves against the alien invasion.

You didn't do it on purpose. Maybe you did. The results and actions will still be the same.

Ants are not the only species to behave this way. There is a mechanism in all species to survive. There is a mechanism in place to invoke status among each species.

Ants get eaten. Mice get eaten. Snakes get eaten. Tigers get eaten ( Turns Out Not Many Eat Tigers, If At ALL!)

There is always a species capable of eating another. Can you think of any other species on Earth that kills each other for sport besides humans?

How would we feel if one day we woke up to find another species hunting us for sport? You couldn't leave your house because you might get shot for the hell of it?

There is a species hunting us for sport and guess who it is?

Apes and and dogs have been observed to gang up on and kill other Apes and dogs for no discernable reason.

Cats hunt and kill for sport.

Ants have predetermined roles to play in their colonies, but I think there is a big difference between that and the social statuses we see in human civilizations.

I won't believe this until I step into a tiger made bear trap.

In the end we get eaten by bacteria - now who's top of the food chain? Ho hum!
