Veteran's Day is a time when all of us who have served can wear our colors and be proud of what we were, no matter where or when we were in or what our job was. Each of us were a part of a whole and were important. The best of all is that we are a part of a select group of people...we are veterans!

And, for those in the tomb of the unknowns, thank you for the historical significance you've made. We will celebrate and honor unknown veterans of all wars for their patriotism, love of country and sacrifice you and your families have made for the common good of your nation.

To my fellow veterans, no matter what flag you served under, I salute you.

"After 4,486 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq and 2,345 U.S. soldiers died in Afghanistan, 1 million U.S. soldiers wounded in both wars, and a potential cost of up to $6 trillion, a new group like ISIL now causes havoc in the Middle East."

A few figures for you to ponder my furry little patriotic friend!

Today is a good day for remembrance and appreciation.

Tomorrow, will be the same... as will each and every single day of every year.

Cheers to those who served!

lets take this moment to realize that 95% of our time as a nation has been spent at war with one country or another.

with that in mind, i would like to ask if theres any real plan to NOT be at war in the future.

95% of 239 years? At war?

Seriously?

www.washingtonsblog.com...

the entire list is there on the page.

so in answer to your question: yes, seriously.

and thank you for helping me drive home the fact that we as a two-and-a-half-century-old nation have spent nearly two and a half centuries and 1,300,000+ lives playing fisticuffs with the rest of the world. because it makes money.

thank you, veterans, for helping our glorious country turn war into the booming business it has become.

War

noun, often attributive ˈwȯr
: a state or period of fighting between countries or groups

: a situation in which people or groups compete with or fight against each other

: an organized effort by a government or other large organization to stop or defeat something that is viewed as dangerous or bad

all of the wars on that list fall under this definition.
