A beautiful moment between pregnant mum and orangutan

Hi
With a the doom and gloom around constantly bombarding us I thought something like this shows the simplicity of life. Although I find it a bit poignant given the orangutan is being held prisoner it's the instant conection when it sees the baby bump.
I'm not sure if it is thinking back to having its own baby.

Is this beautiful or is it sad that maybe the orangutan misses its own baby that was possibly taken to another zoo?

It's both. A beautiful creature being confined is very sad but the fact that it made a connection with a visitor, certainly is a sight yo behold.

I'm not a fan of zoos and this orangutan seems sad. Yes before some smart-arse chips in, I am aware I'm giving an animal, human emotions but it didn't look happy at all.

their not "human emotions" their emotions and ALL animals have them
they simply dont or cannot express them the same way we do
just because you can talk does not mean you are not also an animal
we may be the highest leaf on the tree but we are just as green and the ones on the bottom.

our curiosity is not justification for enslaving a sentient creature.

Wow, that was really touching. Animals never cease to amaze me. It really shows how animals do have feelings and emotions. After seeing that, you feel like letting them go free.
