Meaning of life? Your DNA wants to continue its existence through time. Your job is to make that happen. If you can reproduce, great. If you can help others reproduce, just as good. If you can help this reproduction activity peacefully, that will work. If you have to kill to do it, DNA doesn't care.

Not to dwell upon things that hinder your progress by limiting your experience by preoccupation...

You are a seeker. I was a seeker too, and after half my life searching, found the meaning of life. However, I don't think I can share it with you because of the fact that it is a feeling and not a logical thought. I would describe it as love, but its something people have find for them self as it can manifest in different ways to different people. Another person I know identified it as peace. I'm not really much of a seeker any more, or at least not in the same way as before.

Basically I went on a spiritual journey of sorts, or you could say I just pondered my own existence. After completely exploring my inner-most desires, most fundamental values, I discovered the answers I was looking for. Simply getting to know myself was all it really took.

The final step in my case was when I faced my fears.

Establishing meaning to life seems to be a journey that compels some of us. Rebels, questioners. Imho this is 'the divine spark'. So far as we know animals do not question their existence, only man. The journey is fun, scary, frustrating, exciting, wonderous. Lots of information out there, books are helpful, follow your nose.
