It's a known fact. They despise her and yet she thinks she can control the US command and its operation. Been in the military, when the soldier loses faith of the command, well, there just isn't no leadership at all.

Hillary is toast. But sad to say the election for the US president is more than likely rigged (electronic voting, ever played at the casinos) so really that Bush guy is going to be eating steak and the American's , well, cans of sardines from Chile. I like Sanders and that Trump dude, but the elections by electronics are, well, screw it, you won't believe me.

Do you have numbers from a poll conducted, or are you just projecting your own belief onto the military?

No, but in Asia, all we hear is good news on well she is well received on helping and giving a better life to nations that are in need of American help. Nothing negative about her at all.

Military wise, well, no. We usually get together and have some drinks off base at Iwakuni and we all agree on one thing, she's the #tts for the US Vets. No polls, just beer talking us American Vets.

Can't be any more disfavored than Obama was... Quick question though, are you enlisted or an officer? Because I really wouldn't be concerned about the grumblings of the enlisted corps as a politician. It's the officers that are going to follow your orders and then the enlisted corps is just going to follow the officers' orders.

I was in the Army myself, I know how military politics work.

Obama dominated the military election donations in both elections. However to be honest the military hates everybody up the chain of command ending at whatever President is in office. They tend to think they are all idiots. This is just the way it is in the military and it has never effected to way they do the job.

I think when we shoot the breeze about the US political scene these days, it comes down to "truth". I see you were in the Army and even maybe stationed here in Japan, but really, these days as we sit around the bar and talk about the good ole days, we now realize the military is but a machine that needs employees and that means jobs. Maybe you understand, but actually this doesn't have anything to do with Hilliary, she just is liked by the US military (my opinion).

Certainly the military tends to be conservative and there is not a lot of Obama love there, however, Hilly has some specific issues that do annoy the military--both directly and indirectly.

Many of us remember the 1990's when she said she hated the military and didn't want to see military uniforms in the White House when she was first lady. Before 9/11 it was still cool to for a Dem to dislike the military. They all changed their minds when it was politically expedient.

Recently, we have the Benghazi issue that leaves a lot of us wondering if we too, would be abandoned over politics.

Also the whole "dodging sniper fire" thing--we dislike posers.

All in all, I'd say her candidacy would not be largely supported by military members, especially the older and more senior.

Agreed, with one exception. If I recall correctly, it was Ron Paul that dominated the individual serviceman and servicewomen donations from the military.

US military loves the Clinton / Bushes, they get to play war under them.

Open aggressive warfare, every military warmongers wet dream.

Form last year, but nothings changed…

As America's top diplomat, Hillary Clinton urged the president to arm Syrian rebels and made clear that she disagreed with Obama's decision not to arm them in her much-talked-about memoir. Earlier this week, Bill Clinton echoed his wife.

CNN, Clinton agrees with Obama's war agenda

"More arms", i.e., more war.

When I hear the term "U.S. Military," I think of all of the individual Service Members who comprise the body of the military. If you truly think that the majority of Service Members prefer going to war over serving during peace time, you are gravely mistaken.

Yes, there are those MOSes that have very little to do without war, but most Service Members prefer peace, being with their families steadily, not getting shot at, etc. At least, most I know now or knew when I and my wife were serving. Sure, things may have changes slightly, but for the most part, the individuals in the U.S. Military do not have wet dreams over playing war.

That's quite true. Those with the "Colonel Jack. D. Ripper" warmonger view of service people from the film Dr. Strangelove usually have never served in the service.

Certainly they are dedicated and highly trained people and certainly we all take some pride in doing our job well, but by and large service people are not "jonesing" for war. Why would we (or they)? They bleed and hurt and die and miss their families when there is a war.

How is it, that Clinton and Bush are still in positions of power? Matter of fact, how could the American people even consider such criminals, to lead the country? Haven't you had enough of both families, yet? Shouldn't both families be in jail or some thing, other than an elected position? Perhaps, a FEMA re-education center???

In other words: Have Americans lost their minds?????

It was early on but, he dropped out and that support just went away instead of moving on to Romney. Where as Obama just kept collecting.
