BREAKING: Shooting Reported Inside Louisiana Movie Theater

Multiple were reportedly wounded, after shots were fired at a movie theater.

Reports of the shooting at The Grand Theater 16 in Lafayette emerged from local media around 9 p.m. ET. Multiple people were said to have been shot, but at the time it was not clear how many, nor their conditions. It is not known if a suspect or suspects had been detained, but the shooter was no longer active, according to KATC.

The Daily Advertiser reports City Marshal Brian Pope confirmed that six people were injured. According to Pope, the shooter died after he "turned the gun on himself."
