Repercussions of FIFA scandal, Palestinian Jibril Rajoub angered Jordan, thus he may become fully Palestinian

Abbas tried to ease tensions with a long forgotten slip of tongue

Last week, Abbas headed a senior delegation that visited Prince Ali at his home in Amman in an attempt to ease tensions. Following the meeting, Abbas declared that Jordanians and Palestinians “are one people living in two states.”

Seriously, Abbas stated that and no response on here??? No one blaming Israel??? Abbas admitting that Jordan is a Palestinian population? Or is he suggesting that the Palestinians are made up of Arabs from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan??? Abbas is from Jordan, Arafat was Egyptian, what right did they have to claim they had lost land to Israel???

The most important aspect of this is how the threat from Isis has Israel and the Palestinians sitting around a table behind closed doors. I suspect they are sharing intel and quietly preparing for unofficial joint operations against Isis in the near future. It is probable that Jordan is sitting at the same table as well. Since neither Israel and the Palestinians can been seen to be publicly cooperating a level of pretense needs to be maintained by all those involved.
